A list of events (e.g. seminar organizations, research campaigns, expositions, etc…) to which I contributed or was associated with my colleagues:
2018
Metop C launch live event from EUMETSAT headquarters in the night of 6-7 November 2018. Metop C is the last of the European Metop series, a reference of meteorology and climate satellite instruments in low Earth orbit. The next generation will be the European Polar System (EPS) – Second Generation (SG).
Thesis (PhD) defence at Delft University of Technology for the research activities (2013-2018), in the Netherlands, on 2018.09.10 assisted by Marcel Kleinherenbrink & Vincent Vionnet as Paranymphs, Ricardo Reinoso Rondinel as Master of Ceremony, and Antoon van Hooft his assistant. Composition of the committee: Prof. dr. Pieternel F. Levelt (Promotor), Dr. J. Pepijn Veefkind (co-Promotor), Prof. dr. ir. Herman Russchenberg, Dr. K. Folkert Boersma, Prof. dr. Johanna Tamminen, Prof. dr. Else Aben, and Prof. dr. Thomas Wagner.

Sentinel-3 B (S3B) launched on 2018.04.25, a live event from EUMETSAT with all my colleagues involved in this mission (ground-segment, mission preparation, control centre, data preparation and processing, scientific activities). An important satellite mission for ocean colour, altimeter, land, surface temperature, atmosphere and climate observations.
My colleague Dr. Jieying Ding successfully defended her PhD thesis on 2018.01.26 with the GRS department from TU Delft and KNMI. Her work was focused estimating the NOx emissions over East Asia from OMI. Check her work here.
Sneak Preview first light of TROPOMI: on Thursday 11.01.2018, Prof. Dr Pieternel Levelt (OMI Principal Investigator) and Dr. Pepijn Veefkind (TROPOMI Principal Investigator) provided an exclusive sneak preview of the first images made by this unique satellite instrument at TU Delft before a large audience of students, staff members, PhD candidates and other persons. The results are beyond everyone’s expectations and will be released to the general public from May onward.

2016
Kick-off of the Cabauw Intercomparison of Nitrogen Dioxide Measuring Instruments (CINDI)-2 campaign, Cabaux, the Netherlands: the second large scale international campaign addressing the intercalibration of remote sensing instruments using the DOAS technique to monitor air quality in support of satellites. More than 40 instruments operated by 30 groups participated to this field campaign. They include MAX-DOAS instruments as well as in situ systems (CAPS, NO2 analyzers, NO2 and O3 sondes, lidar measurements, sun photometers and ceilometers).
TU Delft research exhibition 2016, Improved tropospheric NO2 in presence of fine particles from OMI satellite, 2016.06.02, Delft, the Netherlands (by Dr. Tim Vlemmix).
NO2 measurements from ground-based mini MAX-DOAS on TU Delft parking, campaign prepared and led by Dr. Tim Vlemmix, Delft, the Netherlands, 2016.02.
